Teaching has always been a natural part of my creative journey. I’ve been teaching in some form since 2006, and since 2015, I’ve focused on helping artists of all levels rediscover joy and confidence through art.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned painter looking to reconnect with your practice, my approach is rooted in warmth, encouragement, and curiosity. I believe art is not about perfection - it’s about presence. It’s about showing up, exploring, and letting the creative process surprise you.
My Teaching Philosophy
Art can feel intimidating, especially when we compare ourselves to others or fear getting it “wrong.” My mission is to create spaces that feel the opposite - open, nurturing, and supportive.
I combine my background in education and my own artistic practice to help students:

🪞 Overcome self-doubt and reconnect with creative flow
🌿 Explore painting, sketching, and creative recovery
🖋️ Develop a deeper understanding of art as a mindful, personal practice
Creativity, for me, grows in community - not competition. When we learn together, something beautiful happens: we all rise.

I currently teach art classes, host prevent art events and teach private art classes in and around Manchester, as well as online offerings from time to time.

Creative Connections and Collaborations
My teaching journey has taken me from intimate studio sessions to collaborations with inspiring organisations like The Didsbury Arts Festival, Manchester Art Gallery, The Old Didsbury Parsonage, Bromleys Art Supplies and Belong Morris Feinmann Care Home, Didsbury, all united by a shared love for creativity and self-expression.
